Kit must be American..... I have had a 'Hiatus hernia' for many years and found that a 'half teaspoon-full' of Bicarbonate of soda [Bicarb] mixed with a small amount of milk usually worked well. The cause of the discomfort is 'stomach acid', and bicarb is an alkali which neutralises the acid. I got wise and saw my doctor who prescribed 'Lansoprazole' capsules, 15mg. one taken each morning is the dose... VERY GOOD even on the morning after!
