I need to link another file to a spreadsheet, but I want the link to appear in a comment box, not in a seperate cell.

Since the user cannot click in the comment box anyway, it would be moot to insert a hyperlink.

But a comment is editable by more than just font. You can change the color and the border too. You can even use the Fill Effects under color to add a picture as the background.

There's no way to add anything to a comment beyond modifying font attributes. You can't add clipart or hyperlinks - just different fonts and sizes. Your best bet is probably just to leave directions in the comment (i.e. "See the January worksheet for more information" or something like that).

create the comment and stick the link into the comment.
