To get over this; these are the things that helped me go cold turkey...

Face your Fear
1.Fear is your biggest reason for not stoping...

Soul Searching and the Reason you do what you do.
2.You deep down have a death wish, and your choice of posion is what ever you are doing; keep in mind they all ROTT you from the inside out. (gross huh).

You need to recall the reason you started the drugs and deal with it head on, make peace with it.

(meaning..My drug use was due to some bad expericences... in my childhood and I wanted to get disconnected with it and all of them (ie, disfuncitional family members their drinking and violance, so how smart was I, I did not drink, I did chemicals (uhhh duh for me)))

Once I did make peace with all of that I forgave the people that harmed me But, most importantly I Forgave Myself.
The Forgiving Part was The Hardest especially Forgiving Myself for what ever mistakes I made,
Now I want to teach and help You and others from the lessons that I have learned and the expericences I have faced.

After doing those 3 steps I finally stopped cold turkey the drug use, I learned to love myself for who I was.

And One more Thing; If you are using the excuse " I do drugs because I don't want to be fat" Get over it" you will gain some weight depending on your bodytype and abuse to it but that is because you have starved yourself for so long it will take time for your body to heal and regulate,

Remember; All of the trees in the forest do not look the same.
Hope this helps I have a lot more to say just because I have been there done that,

Not only have I survived but I have succeeded in all of my dreams and goals and am still doing so.
One more thing;
It took me a while to get over the crave and still after 20 something years of being sober I still think about it but know I can not ever go back, it would be the death of me... and all that love me.
Mom

LAST BUT MOST IMPORTANT " YOU MUST REPLACE YOUR BAD HABITS WITH GOOD ONES"
EXCERSISE YOUR ANXIZITY AWAY AND NIBBLE ON FRUITS AND VEGTABLES INSTEAD ON YOUR FINGERNAILS.

Your question is wrong, you omitted now.

When thinking straight you don't want to do the drugs, but in a while, when the craving starts, the don't disappears. Then you need to hang on to the rationale you have now.

If that doesnt work, you need help. Depending on the drugs it may be as easy as moving in woith someone who'll take care of you but won't allow you any money so you can't get the drugs (don't leave antil the cravings are gone), and as hard as enrollment in a clinic for detox. Use the resources mentioned by other responders to find out what would be best for you and for how long you are at risk.

You could stop doing the drugs you don't want to do by starting the use of drugs you do want.

What drugs? And if you really want to stop, you have the power. The drug is just an outside influence, you make the choices in life, not the drug.

because your body is use to having drung in its system. The more you take the more your body will develop a tolerance and addiction for the drug. Depending on your stage of addiction you might have to go see a therapist or to a rehab center. Withdrawl symptoms are very hard to deal with and can cause your body to undergo harsh reactions.

it's all about will power and self respect, whether you know it or not you're deeply depressed, seek out some professional help, there's so many people out there that are willing to help someone like you, the first thing you need to do is be open and honest to yourself that you truly have a problem and you need help resolving it, if this is a sincere question than you're on the right path to helping yourself answer your own question, best of luck you can beat this with faith in yourself...

Because drugs become addicting. Sounds like you are addicted. You may have to be hospitalized to get off them.

Because you don't have enough will power. You need some intervention. You need real people to support you. I'm currently helping my brother in the same situation. Showing him some tough love. He may hate me in the process but he'll thank me in the end when his family is back together.

Will power! Lady friend will power! I can stop doing anything bad for life just because it moves us. To do or not to do. That's the logical naturopathic answer to your question.

Check yourself into rehab, it will be hard at first but you will feel like a brand new person, then you can talk to someone to help you understand why you had the feeling to do them or what it could do to you things like that.
