Concerning the current immigration controversy, should the terms be changed?

Any good suggestions? We obviously cant call them American citizens, so what shall we label these people and their supporters. Political correctness is not the issue here, just throw out your best ideas. I know the terms I have chosen, CRIMINAL TRESPASSERS and TRAITORS.

Immigrants are, I hope, "LEGAL Immigrants". ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS could be defined as :

WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION!! (WMD)

Destroy our economy(tax burden), our health (disease), health systems (hospital closings), schools (over populated), prisons(criminals), crime rate(increase due to gangs, drugs, other illegal activity), neighborhoods (overcrowded apts, and houses, destruction of property, trash), wages (lower our wages), culture(by trying to make Spanish our 2nd language), our heritage (trying to claim land we WON in war), and on and on and on!!

Well, you're probably going to have to sue a couple food production companies out of business to get this one done, no jobs=no bait, and it sure wouldn't hurt to have ALL the states on the same page in regards to immigration. Stupidly, we've been too nice to other countries, especially Mexico, for too long, and part of that is that they now have a lot more hispanic legislators who are VERY pro-mexico, even if they don't admit it in front of a microphone. I would say that roughly 40-60% of the corruption problems we're seeing in government right now relate somehow to the cross-border problems we're having with Mexico. Clean up congress, enforce the border law, put a freeze on ALL immigration for 6 years til we get this mess cleaned up, and start putting employers out of business that knowingly circumnavigate american labor laws by hiring illegals. OR, we wait about 10 years, and finally have the epiphany that we've waited too long to act effectively on the problem anymore, and watch em pack the country back home across the border, or just build their OWN border fence, right where they are...and don't think that drug money can't buy fence wire...

Just to clarify, they are not technically felons. Illegal entry into the country is currently a misemeanor. That's what a lot of the stink is about these days because some were trying to change the law to make it a felony. On another note: what if you came home one day and found someone had broken into your house. When you tried to get them out of the house they said "but you can't make me leave, I did the laundry and washed the windows. Those are jobs you don't like to do so you should let me stay." Aferwards, a group forms outside your house picketing you and calling you elitist and racist. Then after that, some liberal group comes by and makes you include them on your health insurance and forces you to educate them. Would that be fair?

First we need to stop calling these criminals immigrants. They are not immigrants, and it is an insult to the millions that migrate here legally every year. These people are poor, and still endure the process to show respect for our country.
In the seventies the government stopped calling them defectors because it was too harsh, and began calling them illegal Aliens. In the millinium the illegal Aliens found this term too distasteful, and changed it so that they could hide under the skirts of good law abiding immigrants by calling themselves egal immigrants.
Immigrants come to this country, show respect for our laws, and protect us by helping us keep our borders a little more secure. Why must these good people be forced to share the same title with criminals, who have not worked as hard, nor shown enough respect for America to honor our laws?
Illegal Aliens are not immigrants. They are criminals wanted by their own country, or ours, and canot pass through the legal process to become Americans, and most don't want to become American.

Those are good choices. They are also technically felons, but I prefer something that truly describes their nature like rats, termites, leeches, ticks, etc.

A small, seemingly innocuous lifeform that, by itself, is really not harmful or dangerous. However, when you get hundreds, thousands, or MILLIONS, then you have a serious infestation problem, and you need to do something to get rid of them before they destroy the entire country.
