depends on the state you are in and the job that you want to do..
family busnisess don't have many limits.. most states it is 16 and then there are lots of limitations on what you can do.

Most places won't hire you under age 16, though if you live near some amusement parks, they may hire you as slave labor and igve you a "training wage" far less below minimum wage.

fourteen... or 12 if its agricultural (farm) work... either way youll be pretty limited in the hours you can work until youre 18..
