I used to have a long haired chihuahua, and I didn't know how to spell it correctly until after I had her so don't feel bad. I LOVED that dog. She was the cutest puppy and turned into one of my kids. Now on the other hand, I used to have a roommate that had a pug and I really did not enjoy that dog at all.
Good luck on whatever you choose.

I would say a short hair Chihuahua, they require very little grooming.
The long coat requires a lot of care, and that can be expensive.
The pugs tend to have breathing problems, because of the short nose.
Of course I am bias, I raise short hair (I have 1 long coat) Chihuahua.
And like Kupkake said, it is a really hard word to learn/remember how to spell.

Long-haired chihuahuas are easier to take care of, than a Pug-mix. The squished in face of a Pug, would cause more complications, than a long coat.

It's all merely a matter of personal preference. I have short hair and guys such as it. And i prefer a guy with short hair over a man with long hair because long curly hair tends to make guys look as well girly.

i think you should get a chiwawa pug because if get the longhaired one you won't be able to clean all the hair that it sheds

Niether, get a bag of potatoes, the kind from Oregon or Washington, because Idaho potatoes are overrated.

If you don't have a lot of extra funds for grooming - I would stick with the short hair version. Voice of experience! I have three dogs [two long hair - one short] and spend a lot of money at the groomer....yikes! It adds up!
