Are you using windows XP? If so, forgive the caps, GET SOME F'ING MORE RAM! Windows XP REQUIRES at least 256 MB of Ram, you should have at least 1 gig If you want to run anything serious.
Also, you can try doing this through Safe Mode, or in the dos prompt, and it should have no problem completing in that case. But for the love of God, get more ram.

It sounds like either a file that Disk Cleanup can not delete, or a bad spot on the hard drive. Since everything Disk cleanup does automatically, you can do manually, I would try a manual deletion of each of the items (empty recycle bin, clear the Internet files, clear the temp directory, etc). That should either clear out the file(s) causing the trouble and let it run in the future, or give a clue where it is hanging and on what so you resolve the problem.
Also, if your hard drive is way too full, that can hang Disk Cleanup. The manula deletion should resolve that also.

For best Sys Performance Every Sys component muct match with each other. P4 1.7 is a faster processor & that needs atleast 256 MB of RAM.

try to install another windows but make all of your installs not in the drive c:/ try to put every install in own file and tell me what happen with you
