This IS normal and, I'm sure you know, pretty uncomfortable. My second child was the same way. He sat on my pelvic bone from just after Thanksgiving until he was born, right after Valentine's Day. I was so sore it was virtually impossible to get comfortable in the sitting position and I was very sore for several months after his birth (couldn't sit on our dining room chairs/other hard chairs w/o a cushion and not for long even that way!) and he was born by emergency C-section!!! So, it wasn't even like I was in pain from the birth-just months of him sitting so low! He was actually a few days late too so it didn't cause premature birth! haha
You've probably discovered that sex is painful so you'll probably want to NOT do that until post-baby/dr's release. Also, your dr. probably will recommend to cut back on exercise if you're doing any. I recommend staying in the pool A LOT! It will keep you semi-"weightless" and will keep your baby from pressing down on your sensitive area!
God bless and CONGRATULATIONS!!!
OH! And re: everyone who keeps telling you to see your doc, they obviously don't know that you have-how else would you know your cervix is softening?!?!! heehee

Did the doctor tell you this? That the cervix is effacing (becoming soft)? Since your muscles are more supple, this sounds normal and like what I am going through. It's just a little harder this time. It's my second, too and I am 25 weeks. This weekend I felt like, heck, let's do this: baby's on my bladder all day with her little feet kicking my birth canal....GHEESH! My doctor says it is all normal. Just the long 9 months of labor that God promised us. You sound normal to me.

Speak to your doctor to be on the safe side. There are many reasons why you feel what is stated above. Also, at this stage you should be visiting your doc on a weekly basis to keep close monitoring of the baby.
Hope you have a Safe and Healthy delivery. Best of Luck!

Consult a medical professional not the yahoo answers people. It's like taking your child to a hair salon if it's sick. Your question is aimed at the wrong people.

you need to call your ob/gyn and make an appointment, because it sounds like your baby wants to come out, and that he or she will be born a premie, and could come with complications, you need to call ASAP!!! You could have a child with health problems, if he or she is born early.

You might be mistaken about the date of conception. With my last , she dropped five weeks before she decided to be born. Check with your ob.

this is totally normal for a second baby. This does not mean you deliver prematurly , your body is just getting ready.
