there is little evidence that any of the bible is true but most would say that the bible is about 5% fact and the rest is made up stories from many other religions before them. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK DISPROVE THOSE CHRISTIANS!!!!!!

These are not all meant to be fact, and therefore aren't exactly false. They are put in the Bible not to lay down history like we know it in school books, but to get across a general point of which specifics aren't important. For example, the time at which Jesus died on the cross is not important -- what is important is that Jesus did die on the cross. Abraham lived a very long time, and had a child when he was well into his later years -- it does not matter how many more. It doesn't matter when Satan entered Judas -- it just matters that Satan *did* enter Judas.

These passage are all seemingly contradictory, but it was just what the writer thought at the time. If I were to ask many people to write a brief summary of the happenings at Jesus' birth right now, they would not be exactly the same! There would be many variations because not everyone's memory is identical. Fact gets mixed with fiction, but the "truths" are still going to come out -- Jesus was born.

It is a beautiful thing to question! Don't blindly accept everything until you are ready to stake your life on it. I'm christian, and I've staked my life on the solid truth of the bible, but I also beleive that no harm can come from questioning and seeking the truth. God is truth, it says so in the bible. So if you honestly seek the truth, you're honestly seeking God, and what possible harm could come out of that? There are great resources to help you answer your questions. Go to www.mhbcmi.org/listen/index.php and listen to some of the teachings by Rob Bell, or go to www.nooma.com. They've got a bio on Rob, and the teachings are amazing. Rob isn't the kind of preacher that tells you to accept everything without question, in fact, he advises exactly the opposite. And he's gotten a lot of criticism about it, too. His book, Velvet Elvis, is a great jumping-off point for anyone with overwhelming questions about christianity that cannot tolerate traditional churches.
Rob Bell may be coming to your city.
His everything is spiritual speaking tour launches soon, and he'll be traveling all over the country. I put a link in the sources, it's the 4th link. I highly recommend at least going to the library and picking up his book, Velvet Elvis. His teachings, and being a part of Mars Hill has completely changed the ways I view God, the world, and my own life.

Almost all of your discrepancies are caused by the intent or perspective of the different authors. For example Abraham having one son would refer to Isaac his son with Sarah and heir. When it refers to his two son it refers to Ishmael and Isaac. Ishmael was Abraham's son from Sarah's maid servant. The reason why God had to inter vein was because Sarah was barren and it was through her that God gave the promise of being the father of nations. Or item 92. Abraham didn't know where he was going when he left, but Moses, who wrote it, did. So when Moses wrote it from his perspective Abraham was going to Canaan, but when the author of Hebrew wrote from Abraham's perspective Abraham's was obeying God without knowing where he was going.

It's a great list, but if you took a little more time to understand the intent of what the author's were writing their are no inconstancies.

If a crime was done and several has witnessed it, and you get to talk to one of each, you think everyone will tell you exactly what the other told or will tell? Everyone has their own version of the story, no big deal but it still points to the same happening and they are still connected after all.
