okay if you meant hen then if it lays an egg it would fall and whatever side because its a 50-50 chance.. but if its a rooster that lays it, it wont roll because roosters cant lay eggs.

Oh my god. This riddle is so old. Roosters are males so they cant lay eggs. So there wouldn't be an egg for it to roll on a side.
