I think there is such a thing as lust at first sight, but not love, to love someone is to really know their whole being, and their soul, and you can't do that with just one look. <3

I do believe in love at first sight. But true love must develope over time with trust and getting to know the other person.

No.
What you may feel at first glance or meeting is not love. It could be a form of love or even lust. At first glance you are going on looks and appearance only, be honest, its true. When you meet and talk you are going on more appearance, intelligence, humor, and common interest. It takes getting down to the "bone" of a person and finding out their truth and excepting faults. They come way after meeting. Sometimes years.

I believe it can happen. My parents feel deeply in love the first time they met. It was on a blind date set up by my mother's older sister and my dad's friend.

However, this was not first love at first sight.

Did this happen to me? Not really. I ended up falling in love with a college friend. We were first not very trusting of each other, got to know each other better, developed a friendship, and then started dating. We just celebrated our 21st anniversary.

,No. That is why love is said to be blind. And Cupid has been painted blind. I may appreciate love at the first sight, but will never fall in love at first sight. Before falling I take due caution, so that the fall does not become fatal.

yes
I've had it happen to me...
but it wasn't exactly first *sight,* I can't fall in love with somebody based on looks.
now if I interpret that to mean to love somebody as soon as you know them, yes.
that's what happened to me, it just took me a couple of months to realize it...
actually my mom realized it first...
which is odd, but she didn't tell me, and then I figured out that she had figured it out before me and then
I was like why didn't you say something?
at any rate,

what happened to me was this:
my school has a buddy system where underclasspersons are buddied up with upperclasspersons, the system is for most people just an excuse to get free pizza.
they have a pizza party
it doesn't work for me being that I don't like pizza.

OK back to the story, at any rate I ended up not meeting her then, because I don't like pizza...
OK that's not true...
at any rate, I ended up not meeting her then because she was serving pizza...
what a tangled web we weave no?

I ended up meeting her at a science team meeting...
which is odd...
so I could say, I met my future girlfriend at lunch, or I could say I met her over exploding socks...

at any rate so I fell in love with her then. and I'm still in love with her now.
:D
so yes it happens

oh yeah.
but like others here have said- the real "love" will have to develope over time. the thing we call |love at first sight" is actualy that "click" we talk about between 2 ppl...

No. It cannot happen. Physical attraction can definitely happen, but not love. Sometimes when you meet someone, you think you're in love until he/she OPENS HIS/HER MOUTH. If the person says the wrong word, your "love" for this person just flies away. Attraction is immediate, love is very different. You can love a person even if he/she is the ugliest person in the world.
