I think your pet is just fine but you do not hear yourself therefore you are too silent for your pet. May be you could make appointment with the audiologist. After receiving hearing aid you might want to see speech specialist Check also your vision which would help you to find spell check on this site. Your cat will love every moment of it.

...Alrighty then, first of all, you need to brush up on your English. Second, your pet might be deaf, or it doesn't like you. Deaf pets are rare, but it can happen. And if the pet doesn't like you, well, find ways for it to like you. Pay a little attention to it once in a while and you'd have a happier pet.

Your pet doesn't listen to you? Maybe it is old? When animals get old.. jus tlike people.. many lose much of their hearing. Maybe it was born deaf? Also.. what kind of animal is this? If you are trying to teach tricks to a reptile(lizards, turtles, snakes, ect), amphibian(frogs..salamanders), or fish, there is probably no chance of ever training it. Usually it's the mammals which listen, especially dogs, cats, and pigs(when it comes to pets). In this case, use a lot of praise and use treats whenever it does what you want it to do. Then eventually two and two will come together in his or her mind and they will probably do the trick.

Take your pet for a check-up at the vet. It's possible that he/she could be deaf.

You mean hearing you ? Could be deaf or is extremely independent and doesn't care for your attention.

Or was it that firecracker you put in its ear?
