I would think this falls in the category of personal preference. It might be difficult to exercise if you're so hungry your stomach's growling and all you can think about is how hungry you are. But, it may also be difficult and/or uncomfortable to exercise after sitting down to a big meal. You may also find it depends on what type of exercise - you might find you can run better on an empty or emptier stomach but have a better weight-lifting workout if you have something to eat. And it may also depend a lot on what you eat - a big steak vs a bowl of pasta vs a plate of veggies. Long story short - experiment a bit and see what works best for you.

If you eat, then exercise, you're apt to wind up barfing. Or at least, feeling as though you want to. It's better to hydrate yourself, exercise, rehydrate, then eat. You'll find you are not really hungry after a good workout, but your body will welcome water or a sport drink.
If you exercise first, you step up your metabolism and that stepped up rate continues for from four to six hours after you eat. So foods you eat after exercise are burned more quickly than foods you eat before.
Hope this is helpful.

excercise, then eat.
When you eat food must be digested, and to do that blood is pumped to your stomach and intestines so they can work properly. Excercise takes precedence to your body over digestion, when running away from wooly mammoths it was better to be fast rather than be fed. But as the blood is diverted away you will get cramps and pains in yuor stomach, and you will tire easily as your energy nis juggled back and forth between the two during periods of rest.

Well if you woke up and your first priority was to run, i would at least eat something small with a good amount of carbohydrates for energy. Then after you run ingest foods with protein to replinish your body's broken down cells

According to professionals you should wait al least two hours after excercising brfore having your meal. And before you excercise have a granola bar or a power bar or something like that. It gives you the energy you need for your work out without weighing you down.
