As AllAmericanRed2 mentioned, these cars are going for serious money. Especially an R/T in "decent" condition. There are some sites to check out, eBay, Hemmings, & Auto Baron.
One option you may want to explore is "cloning" your own R/T. Pick up a Plain Jane '68 Charger that originally came with a 225, 318 or 383-2bbl. You're still going to pay a chunk of money if it's in good working order, probably approaching $10k. However, there are so many aftermarket products for the '68-'70 models, rebadging it as an R/T shouldn't pose a major problem. If you're really motivated, hunt down a '68 big block & tranny to drop in. It may not be an original R/T, but as long as you're not trying to pass it off as one, you'll still get noticed & complimented for your efforts. Not to mention your investment will still come out less than paying for an actual R/T. Just don't go changing the VIN plate or fender tags! LOL
That's just one approach you can take.
If you're serious about buying an original R/T, insist on asking for the VIN plate number. This will help ensure the seller is on the up & up. You can run the VIN at http://www.maxwedge.com to see what the results are.
Also ask to see what the fender tag options are. And insist on pictures pictures & more pictures if you can't see the car up close & personal! Shots underneath the body, in the trunk, around the windows, etc. If you're seriously considering purchasing, then look at hiring a local "lemon inspector" to have them check the car out for you. They may be able to look for things like rust, corrosion & "performance modifications" the previous owner made. I've seen more than one car that had it's booster for the power brakes removed or the power steering converted to manual to increase "performance". 90% of the time they were hack jobs. If you're going to pay top dollar for a car, you want the options as they came from the factory.
If you want to look up more information about Chargers & Mopars in general, go to http://www.allpar.com It is full of useful information & stories.
Not to ruin Fenderteleplayer's attempts at selling his Charger, but if you don't want the "General Lee" paint scheme, guess what? That's money spent on removing it then having the car repainted. That is unless you do the paint removal & prep yourself. It's not difficult, it just requires time & patience to do it correctly. My advice: It's worth the money to buy a good compressor & dual action sander to remove the paint, but don't go down to the bare metal. I learned the hard way about using Aircraft Paint Stripper. LOL If he's got everything in order & he's offering pictures, that may well be a start. You might like the orange paint job, but may just want to remove the "Stars & Bars", "01" & "General Lee". Having those areas repainted plus the engine bay will still be less than a new complete paint job. Just make sure the work is performed by a reputable shop. See if there's a Mopar or Muscle Car club in your area for references. Other things to consider are removing the roll bar, horns, etc. If you have basic mechanic skills you can remove these yourself. You may have to look at patching up some of the metal though if holes were drilled into the body. Stop potential rust areas where ever possible. You can always go back & drop in the big block & tranny later, then rebadge it. Just something else to consider.
Sorry for being so long-winded, but I hope you found this helpful.
Good luck in your endeavor!

Look at classic auto catalogs. They always have cars for sale, like Hemmings motor news. You can also go to a few auto shows and cruise nites in your area, people always have cars for sale there.
