There is this guy I met a few years ago at a party, he was with his girlfriend at the time and I was with my boyfriend at the time. We ran into eachother a few months ago(we are both now single)we seemed to really hit it off in conversation. We ended up sleeping in the same bed that night(cuddling only)My ex is friends with his friends, so he is freaked about that, my ex found out about the night we slept in the bed together and is upset, but I caught him cheating on me in the bed we shared so he has no right to be mad. I here through friends that this guy likes me but is freaked at the fact he knows my ex, and is friends with his friends. We saw eachother again about a month ago at a bar, my ex was there also, the guy I like came to me and said"your killing me", my ex was staring, so we kept it casual. We both like eachother but my ex is in the way, and he should not be. Will this guy ever get over the fact of my ex? Do we ever have a chance at starting something? What is my next step

I think you need to have a talk 1st with the ex..tell him it's over..done and he has no right to try and interfere with anything in your life..to move on!!
talk then to the guy your interested in..tell him that if he really likes you...he won't give a flip about what the friends all say..why let something like that keep you two from seeing what you have together and having fun!!!!!!!!
Make yourselves happy!

Your next step should be to keep stepping, bc this new guy seems immature, either that or scared of your ex. You need to remind your ex the reason why ya'll arent together and tell him to butt out of your business and tell this new guy to grow up and step up if he wants to be with you.

I'd say the hell with your ex. Hello! He is an ex for a reason and the new guy needs to get it through this head! I've dated plenty of guys who were friends with friends. I live in a not so big city and sh*t happens. Don't worry, he'll get over it! Just reassure him that it doesn't bother you and it shouldn't bother him either!

If you can try talking to your ex, explain to him that you are moving on and he needs to too!!! Tell the guy to relax and not to worry about the ex. Hopefully if you talk to him it will make the guy calm down.
Good luck

Tell him that you could give to cents about your ex and that he needs to be a man and step up and take what he wants or go play with the little girls

your ex is an a*sshole. he has no rights standing on your way,he's the one who cheated you. and the most important thing is,he's your EX. That means he has no rights to complain. So what if he knows this guy, tell your ex that you don't care what he thinks,it's your life and he should control his jealousy.

Perfect. If you really like this guy you don't have to think much. Go and get him! You don't need to think what he thinks to your ex or their Friends. Your next step : go and get him :))

tell the guy to grow some balls and forget and stop worrieing about the ex. if he truly likes u he should be willing to do anything. And u need to tell him that if he really likes u stop being a whimp.

this sounds like a movie... it would make a really good chick flick... but it would have to end up well. All i can say is decide how much either of them means to you and try to work it out. But good luck for now and i bet it will all turn out ok!
