in grams the same, but in ounces different (just as an FYI). Steel is weighed on the troy system and wool is on the Avoir-Dupoid system, which is heavier...so if we're asking pounds, technically 100 lbs. of cotton is heavier.

Why both are equal in weight... one is not heavier than the other... Except if both are wet, then the wool is heavier...

they are both the same.. although cotton will fall slower than steel due to it's density... but if you wad cotton really close..it will touch the ground the same as steel when you drop them at the same time...
