I would not want to burst your bubble and tell you what I really think. So, your question answers itself. God Created the world, so then, who are we to ask why? Does He have to have a reason? He just did it for the heck of it. It was an experiment. He was bored. There could be a zillion reasons. So why worry our heads over it? That just shows a wrinkle in your faith. Armour yourself, go say some prayers and enjoy the world that God created for us.

God created this material world so as to let us experience materialism and know that being with God is the ultimate goal of every living being whether the soul recognizes it or not.

Let us ask Him when finally we reach Him.

Many saints have meditated years together to find the answer. But when they finally arrived face to face with the Ultimate Reality, they were just blessed with joy. They then felt it unnecessary to ask Him that question.

For us the world exists. For God the world is only a dream. Similarly for the saints and masters.

God is of love, He needs to create people so that He can pour out His love.So when He wants to create people, He needs to provide a place for them to live in.How can someone claim that he is a loving guy when he lives in a four wall all by himself and got no one to show love to?

To give us a place to live where we could prove to him that we would obey and love him. Also that we may have joy and progress to be more like him. If you have experienced sadness you appreciate happiness more, experienced slavery then appreciate freedom more, sickness the being well more, all the bad things we go through make us appreciate the opposite more and we had to come here to go through these bad things so we could be happier when we leave this life then we could if we would have never been born.

because he can do that. Whatever he wants to do.... He can do. He created the earth as a place for us to live. He provided everything for us on this earth. He provided us with food, oxygen, the necessities as well as things for us to enjoy like the scent of a magnolia or to see a beautiful rainbow. Because of his love for us.
