I don't know what the question is, will this answer it?

The early Christians taught it (reincarnation), and this can be proved by the words of Saint Gregory, Bishop of Nyssa: 'It is absolutely necessary that the soul shall be healed and purified, and if it doesn't take place in one life on earth, it must be accomplished in future earthly lives.'"

Later, in AD 533, reincarnation was declared a heresy by the Council of Constantinople.

I am the same as you. I believe the bible but I also know reincarnation exists. I asked someone to explain it to me and he told me the devil and his evil angels are loose on this earth and have hi-tech equipment and are capable of all sorts of deceptions to make us doubt the word of God. I don't know if I believe his theory, but he claims that is why I have seen ghosts. He claims the devil knows what they would say and everything and even if you ask them something only they would know, they will know it because the devil has the information too. The bible does say somewhere that we are never alone and I know a demon spies on me because I sense his presence and especially when I sit on my bed and he jumps on behind me and hovers over me. It gives me chills. I know the bible is true and I also know reincarnation exists and I feel I recall my spirit form before choosing to re-enter earth and do it again. I was like, "Is this all there is?" I was floating, part of a massive God-force, and I was bored. I chose to come back and do it again. I chose my parents. I made a lot of choices before I came and installed exit points and I recognize the exit points when I get to them and I choose to live or die at those points. I am not crazy, I just remember stuff there is no way I could know. When I was a baby I tried to tell what I knew but nobody could understand me. This is why we are born without the ability to speak, because we know too much. By the time we can communicate, we have forgotten the things we knew, they are just a dim memory. I believe that somehow, all this stuff ties in with the bible and someday the answer will be given to us. The bible does say, "Behold, I show you a mystery" and I don't take things at face value. Many people say, "The dead know nothing." and say that proves there is no reincarnation. First of all, if you are reincarnated, you are not the dead. I am not sure if anyone is really dead, but the verse could mean not to ask them stuff about this because they have not had the answers revealed to them yet either so don't ask them. It is all a big mystery, my friend, and the answers will come in the end.

Sweetheart, that is why the Bible says that we should study to shew thyself approved. So that when others come with every wind of doctrine that we don't be deceived. Your friend may be truthful in what she is telling you. There are many demons in this world. When you die, you are DEAD. The Word of God says that the dead know nothing. That means DEAD. There was probably a demon after her at even that young age. Since you said she had the dream as a little girl. Maybe that is why God moved her from you, since you say 'i had a friend'. She was putting thoughts into your head that were not true. God didn't want that in your path. Those demons can imitate God but they can't duplicate God. Where her mom and dad believe or not is irrelivant because evidently they have been deceived to. Read your word so more. So the next time somebody comes at you with anything that is contrary to the Word of God, you and but that demon in his place.

The Bible speaks about evil spirits and how deceitful they are. You friend is confused and she is being led by an evil spirit. The devil has many angels that fell with him and therefore he knows about each one of us through them, they can appear has past loved ones and speak like them and say the same things and even things no one else but you and them would know. The Bible warns about this in Isaiah 8 and many other parts. The devil is using deceit in all forms to get people to believe in his lies rather the Bible - you should trust only the Bible; remember it says that in the last days the deception will be so great by the devil that if it were possible even the very elect would be decieved. Our only hope is not in what we see, or hear but in the word of God or else we will be decieved by what seems undoubtedly true.

Well, sometimes people tell us stories and things and we push it off to the side and then one day subconsciously we remember the event. And since it seems so real at times and we can't explain it. Then we feel that nobody could have told us this so it must be real. But it is up to us to distinguish who has the power and the roles of the Devil and God. And the Devil knows that you are kind of open minded when it comes to family and friends. So he could use that in your life. You have a purpose. And one of the devil's job is to stray you from becoming the person that God wants you to become in his kingdom. He knows how he can make you question God. Don't let the devil compromise what you stand for and get to know who God is and stand tall.

I want to remeber my past lives. my husband and a few of my friends remeber me as a fox. yep a four legged yappy creature with a bushy tail! Love that tail! well trust your heart despite what anyone on this forum tells your or any bible. who will you trust more, a best friend or a book?

Do not believe something simply because you have heard it. Do not believe anything simply because it has been handed down for many generations. Do not believe anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe anything simply because it is written in Holy Scriptures. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of teachers, elders, or wise men. Believe only after careful observation and analysis, when you find that it agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all. Then accept it, and live up to it.

it seems you are having doubts about your religion and the bible. well to be honest i know that there is such a thing as reincarnation and that i have lived many many times already on earth. so heres what i say if you can find reason enough in your self maybe you can leave the religion and walk a lighter path in spirituality which explores reincarnation and other supernatural stuff

Lilo, do not be decieved. It is good to know that you have accepted Christ, but know that EVERYTHING that he says is the ultimate truth. Your friend may not be lying to you about something that she has experienced, but she may be mistaken on what that really is.

There is no such thing as reincarnation or past lives, or anything of the sort. Upon conception, God places one body with one spirit and upon death, the two separate and the body decomposes and the soul goes one of two places...back to the Father, or to Hell. There are no alternatives.

Her parents believe in reincarnation and they took her to this village where she supposedly lived in her past life -- which leads me to believe that perhaps, her parents are pulling a fast one on her.

It is great to trust a friend but greater to trust in GOD! You said you believe in God and in the BIBLE. Do not let a story of a memory change your mind in what you believe strongly in. Memories can become distorted after years of telling them or after other people add their input. You said she was young when this happened. We have a way of adding to events that happened to us when we were young that makes them more important or real than they really were. Remain stedfast in YOUR beliefs. They are real.
