Christians are not supposed to plan or prepare. God will provide (“Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or that ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on... Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, not gather into barns; yet your heavenly father feedth them. Are ye not much better than they?” --Matthew 6:25-34 & Luke 12:22-31 inclusive). I see Christian conservatives plot on a daily basis how to screw their employees so they can reap more profits.

What on Earth makes you think Christians are not supposed to plan or prepare. "Prepare the way of the Lord!"; it's all over the Bible. Maybe God is providing for people through a pension plan, just like he is providing them with food through employment and protecting them through the police. Just because the clouds don't part and choir of angels aren't singing, it doesn't mean that God is not looking out for you. Sometimes God helps in rather mundane ways.

Well, It goes on to say that if you seek God FIRST, all these things will be added to you. There are also scriptures concerning being a good steward, and taking care of the things that God gives you. The bible also says if a man does not work, he will not eat. Think about reading the whole bible.

Joseph was forewarned about a terrible drought so that he could save and prepare for it, so I doubt that your line of thinking has much merit.

Also, I can say I am a black Jamaican, and wear dreadlocks and do reggae, that doesn't make it true! The bible says that many who claim to be Christians are not, and Jesus will tell them, "I never knew you!"

My union has a pension plan for me.

In the Beginning God created heavens and earth.
God gives you air to breathe and sunshine to enjoy.
God gives you water to drink and food to eat.
God gives you a wonderful body and sound mind, to live.
God loves you, and you are precious to Him.
Son of God died on the Cross to save us from condemnation.
Jesus’ love is boundless and everlasting.
We have the hope of Heaven through Jesus.
Life therefore has fantastic and glorious future!
