It might work well for younger people (under 25) where guys will chase a skirt continuously and loves the chase. By the time a guy is older, he will just read the "hard to get" clues as non-interest and move on. He is just too busy with a career and life to be chasing a skirt 24/7. Of course, it doesn't mean you should be "easy" as a guy won't respect that either.
The two-strikes guide works well. A guy makes at least two good attempts to contact a woman for a date (email, voicemail, phone contact, face-to-face). If he receives no reply, callback, or firm plans, then move on. She is not interested and his efforts are better directed toward someone else. Sometimes one strike is enough especially if he can hear her voice or see her facial expressions.

If you're doing it while your smiling, yes it's a good thing, but don't take too long to come around, you still have to somewhat flirt back with your seductive slight smile, this game should only be played by professional, or your game may end up being over. Good luck.

Playing hard to get is sexy and fun. It makes the guy want you more, but if something else comes along that is willing to give what he wants. The man will go and get it leaving you standing alone. Its unfortunate, but this is the real world. People in this day and age don't like to work for what they get. If it is handed to them, they are not going somewhere else to work for it.
