Yes I do. It is in the Word of God. Also Jesus, the disciples, as well as, the other apostles did it as well. It was done as a commissioning of service. I Timothy 4:14 says do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic messsage when the body of olders laid their hands on you. Over and over in the New Testaments we are given accounts of the 'laying on of hands'. Some were healed, delivered and set free. So if the Bible says it, that settles it for me. May God Bless

Oh yea, I believe in laying on of hands. No question we are created to respond to touch. And I see that we respond to energy that touch transmits. That would be the holy spirit, I do believe.
I don't think there is necessarily anything sacred about having the elders do it. Clearly some people have more spiritual power or energy or are closer to the spirit (however you describe it). But that doesn't necessarily correspond to occupying the position of elder. You hope it does. But sometimes it doesn't.

Yes!! I do I have seen old people with walkers barely moving get prayed for and next thing you know they are running up and down the aisle of the church. My family is Church of god/pentecost they believe in the laying of hands, speaking in tongues, etc... If you have ever experienced it before you would believe too.

Sure this could be something like Reiki energy healing. I have heard speculation that the healing that Jesus used in the parables could have been Reiki or similar to Reiki. This is life force energy that is directed to a person's body by a healer who has been attuned to this energy. It is also said that many have tried to replicate the healings of Jesus, perhaps this is what they are trying to do, bu t they may not be very successful if they have not had the proper attunements.

Do I believe that elders of a church have the ability to confer healing on people simply by touching them? No.
Do I believe that the people who are receiving such treatment can have beliefs so strong that they believe they are receiving healing, and that belief makes their bodies work harder to overcome whatever disease they may have? Yes.

i went to one of those weird churches one time where they pastor let people go down to the front and get in line for him to do this to him. i was curious so he did it to me. it felt kind of energetic and my knees were weak and it was hard to keep standing. but i dont think it is any different than reiki or prana. and i dont think just because someone can do this means that it is from god
