Sometimes yes Sometimes no. Just because the room is not spinning doesn't mean your sober. To avoid a hangover completely you should not sleep for 8 hours after drinking. That is about how long your body takes to compltely get rid of the alcohol. Having said that you also do not have to be drunk to get get a hangover. Sometimes, what you do will assist in aquiring a hangover. For instance smoking cigarettes and marijuana and drinking are vary bad and even if you don't get drunk you will have a hangover the next day.

Hangovers are linked to dehydration. So if you drink lots of water before you go to sleep, you'll have a better chance of being alright in the morning.

Maybe you didn't feel drunk but there was a bit of alcohol in the system. That's happened to me.

I get up the next day, have something salty and spicy, strong tastes, and wash it down with a coke or two. Doesn't always do the trick but starts the process.

You shouldn't, but it's possible that you'll still have a headache when you wake up.
