You may need to provide some details on why it does not start. When you search for a file, double click it and it should appear in the download boxes below. Then, it should be saying Connecting... then Waiting in Line - Position x, then Downloading from X hosts.
If it does not connect, that means that there are either not enough hosts for that file online at the moment or you have a firewall blocking incoming connections. If that is so, turn off your firewall and try.
If it says Waiting in Line position X, it means that you are waiting in line behind x amount of other people who want to download the file until an open source as available. This should not take long and it is nothing to worry about.
Finally, if it is downloading from X amount of hosts at 0kbps, that means that either your internet connection or the person uploading the file to you is not working correctly or is too slow.
**Take note that completed downloaded files go to a certain designated location, usually in the shared folders. If you want to change that location or find where the location is, go to Options, Download.
Otherwise, I dont really know why you cant download stuff :/

Usually you just click on the file you want and download, but some files are corrupted and will not download. You also need to have the person you are trying to download from be online at the time. It's kinda like WinMX in that it will show the files are available even if the person that has them is not.

Most likely your software or hardware firewall is blocking the port needed to access other P2P computers. Usually that's 90% of people's problems who can't connect. Check to make sure your firewall isn't blocking the ports needed for Limewire. Turn off your firewall both hardware (usually in your router) and software. If running XP you'll need to turn off the microsoft firewall. I recommending turning it off firewalls only for testing to see if it works. You always want some protection when on the internet.

okay. go to search, type in the song. then choose which file you want to download by doubble clicking it. download the file with the most sources cuz it will download faster. when it is done downloading, it will go to your library. to do this u gotta have lots of green bars [bottem left corner] to get the bars, go to file, then connect. you need a good internet connection to do so
