I thought nothing of it at first, but now it's starting to get to me. I am only 16 and I get pains in my knees, ankles, and sometimes even my wrists. They also hurt my thighs and calves. It travels and first it starts at my knees then it travels down to my leg finally reaching my ankles. I can handle the pain, but it's really starting to annoy me, sometimes it hurts so bad it feels as if it's numb. I get these pains at least 4 to 5 times a week and even more, do you have slight clue to what it is?

If you are worrying about pain then it can make it worse. That means go to the doctor. And ask him questions!!! People dont make their doctors work for them enough. Make him take tests if you are really worried. There may be a simple explanation.

If your pain doesnt get worse while exercising, do some exercise! Also drinking water is essential, and I have read in many books that hydration (enough water) is very important.

What do you eat? Do you eat properly.

Accupuncture has been shown to have some effect as well. That would be a better option than some silly remedy. In fact here in australia, some md s do accupuncture as well.

Everyone should take responsibility to make themselves as healthy as possible. But you should see a doctor, and take every step you can to help yourself too.

Good luck - see a doctor and get him to take tests... Do it!!!

You MUST see your doctor. But in the meantime, if you can manage not to take a bath the following day, try this first aid of mine. At night, wrap the painful parts with plastic. Any ordinary plastic will do. Remove the plastic every after 2 hours to let replace it with another one. Do not let the plastice stay longer than 2 hours or else, you will have blisters. Then in the morning, just try to see if the pain lessens. If not, go and see your doctor then.

I would say growing pains, I know I had them as a kid and so did my son, so bad at times it made my son cry but you say you're 16 so I don't know if growing pains last into your teens. It would be best to ask your doctor.

you should have it check out. A while back my friend's son had a similar situation and it turned out that he was losing liquid from his bones. (can't recall the details).

Let your mother know, go see a doctor.
