not really, but they are good for spontaneous actions....like when my daughter does something really cute and i can send it to my mom who lives far away....but they won't be great, so don't count on it unless you spend a lot of money on a phone....i think you'd be better off buying one of those pocket cameras and keeping it handy....

Depends on the pixel it has available. The Sony Ericson take pretty good pictures because of its 1.x something megapixel. Some are just meant to be use as a calling device.

Depends on the maker and the no. of pixels available. Samsung D900 is a 3megapixel camera, it's not out here yet, i'm waiting to upgrade. Apparently, it is the slimmest slide-phone camera in the market.

standard camera that are sold in stores are about 4-5 megapixels. I saw some phones that have 1.3 megapixels. Check out www.verizonwireless.com
They have cool camera phones.

Depends on which one. I have a Motorolla Razr. It takes pretty good pictures.

Generally they don't.Pictures always seem a bit grainy or fuzzy. :)
