Probably because I've seen in the news( a long time ago) that an eagle carried a baby away from his parents.

No bird can carry off a grown human or child. I wouldn't be too shocked if there was history of an eagle picking up a baby, as they can pick up small 'prey'. It should not get the chance to pick up a baby... though.
