Cycles do vary from dog to dog, so you will have to watch her for signs. Also, look for info specifically for Chis. This is how I do it with my Boston Terriers...
First, make sure she's had a vet-check to make sure she's physically healthy and able to handle a litter of pups...
From the *first* day of heat, when she starts bleeding, I count out the days. I have her bred on either days 11 and 13, or days 12 and 14. This ensures a higher count of puppies, while keeping them close together in age and size. That's a good count to use for most dogs. (You can't get much more specific than that without running tests on her.)
After breeding, it will be approximately 63 days until the litter is born.
Good luck, and I hope all goes well for you!

I have a mini dachshund. I bred her for the first time when she came in heat for the second time, and she was about 11/2 years. She didn't come in heat again until February.( First litter was in July) Wasn't able to breed her at that time, so I thought when she came again in August. Wrong. She didn't come in heat again until October. So I guess you can say it varies from dog to dog.
The woman I went to for stud, she told me this, when a female comes into heat they go through stages. A week to get ready, a week to bleed, and then a week to breed. When your dog comes into heat, when she is ready you will know by this, (at least with my dog). If and when you put her out to potty, if she has a certain stance, and movers her tail aside, then she is ready for breeding. But I also put a pad on my dog, so she wouldn't get blood on everything. So every time she went out, had to remove the pad, and I was also touching her tail, so I knew when she was ready to breed. So if she had a litter a year ago, and she comes into heat, she should be ready.
Check with your vet also. Dogs do go different times for having a litter. My dog, on her first litter, went fifty nine days. On her second litter she went 68 days. But with this last litter, she had a problem. A pup got stuck in the birth canal, and she had to have a C-section. So, since she was opened, we also had her fixed. I didn't want another problem to come up, and I didn't want to lose my dog. For being a small dog, she had five live ones, and the still born one. Her first litter she had six live and one still born.
But she is doing fine now, just gained the weight since she was fixed.
So, I hope this helps you out. If you breed her good luck, and have a nice night.

NEVER!!! Spay now! You are NOT capable of breeding if you have to ask such basic questions.
