There are people who are not American that use this site. Some of them use this site because they believe we can give better solutions. Why do some of you find it necessary to make fun of their grammer and spelling mistakes? Are you that vain that you need to point fingers and laugh at people when they post things to ask a question? Are you that insecure with yourself? I think its absurd, unnecessary, and just plain rude. No wonder some people think Americans are rude, some of you proved it to them. I bash people who make spelling mistakes who bash others for their spelling mistakes, but when someone is asking a help question, and the only answer you can give is to make fun of their spelling, then YOU are a tart.

I dont know how we can even start thinking about ending racism if we cant even control this.

I only get fed up with the people who shorten words to the extreme , as in Y`all, or Yo, etc. It makes people sound very uneducated. Also if there is an extremely poorly written question by someone who is clearly NOT from another country or language,To them I say," use the spell check feature!" If it is just the occasional word, no problem,And as I`m trying to learn another language, I know how difficult it can be to get grammar and spelling right in a language that is not your first, so I also have no problem with those questions either.

God forbid Yahoo! Answers should ever be considered representative of 'our society'!

Some people have nothing positive to contribute, so they just insult other people. I have seen people 'correct' words that were spelt perfectly well, and I've also seen people make spelling mistakes while criticising the spelling of other people.

It's very sad, isn't it?

I have no problem with people who are using english as a second language making errors and mistakes. I usually only point things out to help them with the language.

What gets on my nerves are the teenagers who think the entire world is one big text message and are too lazy to type out the world "to", "you", or "you are".

I'm Australian.

So I often have a chuckle at just how poorly educated Americans are!
I am speaking, here, of Anglo-Saxon Americans!!

I think it's spelled "grammar."

I am being helpful, not making fun.
