When I separate the person from who they are, i.e. a body part, that person has an incredible bottom, or they are hot, I am separating the person from who they are to how they appear/look. I am also idealizing who they are based on the objectification of their body, i.e., because that person is hot, I would like to get to know them, or somehow they are appealing emotionally mentally because they are hot. As I am objectifying, lust shows itself in fantasy. What would I like, what would I like to do with and to them. So I would say when the idealized picture of this person is replaced with reality, IE., who they really are. You can accept and be willing to see past faults, issues, problems because Love carries no jealousy, love doesn't judge, love don't do anything for self gratitude, love gives unconditionally, love is trust, love is respect, love is truth!

think about like this
lust - is what you feel when you want to have sex with someone you've just met and have no feelings for. it's sexual attraction to that person with feelings on wanting to or desire to be attached.
love - is what you feel when you have an emotional connection to a person that extends beyond the physical. you show them how you feel, you compromise, you do things for them that you wouldn't normally do for anyone else. love is how you show a person you love them in more than words.
SEX is Something EXtra, it's not the only way you show them you love them. if it's just the sex then it's just lust not love.

Love is when every time you see the person you like, your stomach drops. You can't get them out of your mind, you dream about them, etc... Lust is when you think someone is cute and you get excited when they come around. Trust me, if your in love, you'll know, it's not like the feelings you had when you dated any others.

Love is a generic term which does not necessarily involve sex, where as lust presupposes sex and has more specific meaning and context. Lust is derogatory where as love is honorific and divine.

Love appears to be a more evolved behaviour than lust, according to new research that has mapped the brain's centres of love, lust and attachment.
The authors of the study believe that lust is quite different from love.
"[Love] requires more sophisticated behaviours, reward and memory systems than other mammals," says lead author Dr Lucy Brown, a neurologist at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.
"It is present to some degree in other primates that are close to us in brain development."
She says humans have evolved three distinct brain systems for mating and reproduction: the sex drive, romantic love and attachment to a long-term partner.
Brown and her colleagues took magnetic resonance images, or pictures of brain activity, of 17 young men and women who described themselves as being "newly and madly in love."
The researchers compared the MRI data with earlier studies on male penile girth responses to photographs of women, other studies on how the brains of men and women activate when individuals view people they find to be attractive or unattractive, and data on both human and animal couples that have been together for a long time.
The findings will be published in the July issue of the Journal of Neurophysiology.
Left versus right brain
The researchers discovered that early stage romantic love feelings are located mainly on the right side at the base of the brain, or the ventral midbrain, and in the middle of the brain, the caudate nucleus.
Long-term attachment, on the other hand, appears to be centred in the front and base of the brain, or the ventral putamen and the pallidum.
Feelings related to lust and sexual arousal occupy different areas, mostly located on the left-hand side of the brain.
The area of overlap seems to mostly involve visual information, but for romantic love to set in, it takes more than just a lustful pang and a pretty face.

love is actually caring about how the other person feels. If you love them you truly care about thier hobbies and what makes them laugh, thier goals for life. GOOD TIMES AND BAD TIMES..Lust is more on a sexual level..

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking.
It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.
LUST IS JUST SEXUAL ATTRACTION
