Your hard drive has little to do with it as long as your hard drive is larger than a few gig.

What you need to worry about are the other computer specs. Unless it has 256mb of ram i wouldn't really try using XP on it. I would highly recommend atleast 512mb. The processor speed shouldn't be too much of a factor because i'm assuming (if it came with ME) that the processor is atleast 800mhz.

if the hard drive is more than 3 GB definetly it is possible. it is not required to have a 3 GB HDD even 2 GB is enough. and a minimum of 128 MB ram is required so if this criteria meets then surely you should be able to load windows X P Professional into your system. recomended ram is 256 or more for better results

I know you are moaning about your hdd, but do you have enough RAM for XP? 128 MB is the min, but if you want to stay sane you will need at least 256 MB. If you do not have this there is no point in installing XP.

If you give me extra info I might be able to help you.

Most ME systems have a big enough hard drive to put XP on them. But it will take up a lot of space compared with ME.

Well, how big is the hard drive? Is it space you are worried about? Be more specific.
