It's a good question. Rocky Marciano v Klitschko, good fight. Of course size would play a part . Klitschko's height and reach would have made him difficult to hit. Marciano's style and being subspect to cuts would make the Ukranian's jab as a very good weapon. But the one thing that Rocky has far superior to him would be a heart. Rocky never knew when he was beaten and his punch to stop Ezzard Charles would have stopped everybody. 49-0 will never be beaten.

Marciano had the "hardest punch ever". Klitschko has had problems regarding stamina and punching himself out.
At both of their primes, Marciano would pound away at Wladimir's arms and torso. Klitschko would rely on power punches, which Rocky could absorb better than most other boxers.
Marciano would win this dream bout by TKO in 8 rounds

You know, I wouldn't have really thought so until Klitschko got TKO'd Lamon Brewster in just 5 rounds....Lamon's not that tall...but after that fight and the Corrie Sanders debacle, I have no doubt that Rocky woulda floored Klitschko. The only questions would be the weight/height/reach disadvantage. After all Marciano was fortunate enough to fight boxers in an era when there weren't too many big fighters, cause Rocky never weight close to 200 lbs.
I almost think Klitschko is TOO cerebral...a PhD and all...The Briggs fight should be a fun one, it'll be VK's first in 7 months....

I think marciano would be able to get wladimir eventually. As we have seen throughout wlads career he is a brillant offensive fighter with the tactics and power to put down many a fighter. However everyone else has also seen he has something of a weaker chin. Although brewster and peter are believed by most to have a decent heavyweight punch, the job that corrie sanders did on wlad was embarrising. Clearly if you put guys in front of wlad who want to try and outbox him and fight into wlads style, he will take them down very systematically. However put him in there vs a hard hitting rocky marciano and wlad goes away, rather quietly in my opinion.

I think it's a fairly safe bet that Marciano would knock him out. Kitschko is an above average fighter, but at this time there are no real quality heavyweight fighters out there. Marciano is one of the greatest fighters of all time. His record was 49-0 with 44 knockouts and he was only knocked down twice in his professional career.

Are you guys serious????? Klitschko is simply to big for Rocky Maricano...... Rocky never faced anyone that tall in his life! the Jab alone would keep Rocky at bay. It would be a repeat of David Tua vs Lennox Lewis. No contest./ Klitschko wins by decision!

That's kinda like asking if Batman could beat up Superman. We'll never know.
Besides, isn't Rocky dead?
