Semen and most body fluids, except saliva, urine, or sweat, are potential sources of HIV. (Saliva or urine can transmit HIV if blood is present.)

Semen and saliva both carry the HIV virus if the person has HIV. You are way, WAY more likely to get it through Semen, through vaginal or anal sex. If you dont have any cuts in your mouth, you are safer (but not safe). If you swallow, the virus does die in the stomach acid but again... if you have cuts in your mouth, theres a chance.
Basically if you're going to be with someone who is HIV+, just use protection. Condoms and dental damns.

From everything ive read you cant get HIV by kissing another person, unless they have a cut or sore in their mouth... and even then that'd ahve to be some deep snogging!

Semen has the highest concentration of HIV, however in contrast saliva has the lowest, there will have to be blood in the saliva in order to contract HIV or you have to drink about a gallon of some one spit to it.

whilst the virus is discovered interior the saliva as properly, the concentration is merely too low for transmission of the ailment. This additionally applies to urine and tears. even nonetheless, while you're speaking approximately kissing a HIV-contaminated man or woman, please confirm that neither of you have a cut back on your mouth or sores or blisters etc, as this could be a in all hazard approach of transmission of HIV.

semen can, and so can saliva but it takes a lot of saliva, (like 4 litres i think they say). if you have any kind of unprotected sex you can get infected, you can also be infected by blood if it gets into your body.

Yes it is possible, but like hepatitis.. it is at a lower incidence than through bloodbourne pathogens. Semen, spit are much more difficult to catch the disease through than an infected persons blood.

HIV can be transmitted by any bodily fluid and it is transmitted through an opening in your body. I.E. mouth, nose, genitalia, or open sores.
