Get pregnant babe! Honestly if you want kids-get pregnant. Only you will know what kind of mother you will be at this age. I got pregnant at 21 (oops). I grew up real fast because I wanted to raise her to the best of my ability. You know what you can do.

I was diagnosed with endometriosis at 16, I had to have 2 D&C's to clear it up..It always came back, and like you, was told I would never be able to have children.I now have a 16yr old son, and a 4yr old daughter and I am currently 7 months pregnant.I have been told the "cure" for endometriosis is pregnancy, but getting pregnant is HARD, even without endo.It can happen, just have faith in God, and be patient...
Best wishes

Again, hysterectomy and pregnancy are not cures, nor can pregnancy be "prescribed." You may have been to several doctors, but not one of them truly understands the disease or knows how to use modern concepts to effectively treat it. I again recommend visiting www.centerforendo.com, www.endometriosistreatment.org, www.endoexcision.com and www.endocenter.org for information on excision as the definitive treatment and why it is better. Do not let uninformed doctors decide your future and limit your treatment options - help IS out there, you just have to seek it. It's well known that the medical establishment at large is generally clueless about this disease (i.e., 9 yr. delay in diagnosis, repeat ineffective vaporization surgeries, medication merry go rounds, misinformation, etc.) so you need to talk to those who DO understand it and are current on the clinical information concerning the disease. Also talk to the patients at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/erc; there are over 3000 women there who have been where you are and can share valuable support and info. Also see http://groups.yahoo.com/group/endodocs to get help finding a new doctor who really DOES have a clue about Endo. Good luck.

PS - LUPRON AND GNRH AGONISTS LIKE IT HAVE ZERO EFFECT IN TERMS OF HELPING INFERTILITY.

What meds have you tried? Have they tried you on Lupron yet? You are in a serious relationship but are you ready to have kids? I would not have a baby just to relieve the endometriosis - remember, pregnancy is only temporary. Mine was relieved only until my period came back (when my son was 10 months because I was breastfeeding). That brings up another point. If you do have a baby, breastfeed and that will shut down your cycle even longer.

my sister-in-law had a similar situation....
they wanted to get pregnant and she had endometriosis and they did some sort of operation to try and correct it.
she went through a period of time that put her into a false menopause.
once it was all over, they tried to get pregnant and they were successful!!
the only hitch was that she didn't carry their little girl to full term. only 27 wks. she, however, is a happy healthy 16 pound little princess and we all love her soooo much!
i don't think the premature delivery had to do with the endometriosis, though...they aren't exactly sure why....

so, i would continue to get second opinions until you find a doctor on the same wave;length as yourself.

you could also look into harvesting eggs for the future...perhaps a surrogate.....

there are lots of possibilities out there! don't settle on something if it's not what you want!'

take care!

This may not sound too convincing for you but if you're really desperate, you can try it. Some naturalists will tell you that going vegeterian might help even those diseases which you are "destined to inherit". A woman vegan friend had a tendency to bleed profusely by the age of 40 or something. All her aunts and mom either had an early menopause by 40 or started to bleed heavily by that age that eventually led them to have their reproductive organs removed. My friend testified that upon changing her diet, her menstrual bleeding returned to normal volume. She's 45 and she still has her reproductive system intact.

Look up information on herbs, minerals, and essential oils that work for endometriosis. Go to your local health food store and they can look up things that are documented to help.
