If you suspect your pet has allergies you need to take it to the vet for an examination to determine the cause. It maybe as simple as changing her diet to something that requires medications like cortisone shots periodically.

I wonder if she has a food allergy?? Dogs can develop allergies to food in the form of skin rashes etc even after years of eating that food. If your dog has rashes and also chews her feet and ears and gets stinky ear infections it is probably a food allergy. Try switching her food to an alternative protien source like...Lamb and Rice or Beef or Salmon etc they have alot of different kinds now if you feed her a different food for a month and dont see improvement see a vet!!! Also my vet told me to give my dog benadryl to help with seasonal allergies you will have to contact your vet for proper dosage though for the weight of your dog...but it has to be benadryl other antihistamines are not good for dogs. Other than that I wouldnt reccomend using anything for people on her. The pet store sells shampoos and sprays for problem skin One is called Tar-riffic it is made by Proffesional Pet Products and comes in a spray or shampoo.

Are u sure it is allergy...my dog was treated by vet for allergy for several months and got no better. He did a scratch test and found it was a skin yeast infection. After a couple of weeks on Ketoconizole there was a miraculous change in her. If your dog smells really bad it just might be yeast.

An allergy shot. You can also give him/her benadryl, or benadryl gel for the rash, just call your vet and ask how much according to how much your dog weighs. expect him to be very sleepy and leave him alone for a while though.

First of all, take the dog to a vet. Second, look at the food you are feeding. Does it contain corn or wheat? they can trigger skin problems. Poor quality foods also contain by products (have a slab of cancerous tissue.) Some of the best brands out there are: California Natural, Solid Gold, Innova and Merrick.

Before you visit the Vet, you can try giving your dog a half of a pill of Benadryl. If your dog is still experiencing symptoms bring him/her to the vet.

I know a dog that has dandruff and allergies, too, and you have to see a vet for a solution.

Are you sure that it's allergies? It could be mites, or mange. Take her to the vet, just to make sure, and then they'll be able to give you something for whichever ailment it is.

we took my dog to the vet and they gave him it shot. it made him stop scratching and the rash eventually went away. (he's allergic to bees, so this happens every summer)
