There is genetic proof of homosexuality being decided by a chromosome during development in the womb. I am genetically gay; it was decided in my development just like my hair and eye color. This is not a false claim the study, which has been looked over by top medical/health organizations has been deemed as scientific fact. Therefore you can't deny I was born this way/created gay by God. A few links...

To elaborate, my question was: Can you deny it? Every answer is the right one, because you can either deny fact or you admit it is true.

Thank You Ty_Kinney for clearing some things up. Do make that question and perhaps let me know about it. I would love to comment.

Well put "WHA??" I thank you for researching instead shooting back quick retort. Your link has some good points by some accredited people. However there don’t seem to be any links to the quoted MD’s data/studies. There also isn’t a date to say when they reviewed the studies. My links however do provide dates and they also provide definite, “this gene when introduced here causes this” explanations. My links don’t have people claiming they found the answer, my links have THE ANSWERS. If a geneticist, you can probably produce a homosexual behaving specimen from the given data. Does this qualify my peers and I our rights? Yes. The gay community harms nothing/none. Loving my girlfriend does you no harm, and marrying her will not cause the apocalypse. Besides the sooner the apocalypse comes the sooner you go to heaven.

Don’t assume I didn’t research the opposing side and don’t tell me to go read my bible, I own two; and them all the time. I was Christian once; the bible ruined that for me because it’s so flawed. To make an argument about homosexuality being against your religion, being a hypocrite to your own text really ruins it for you doesn’t it? Here is your scripture telling you that denying us freedom is against your religion:

Matthew 7:1:
Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Romans 2:1:
1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that 1judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
…Whoa, God says you’re gay if you judge me.

John 8:7:
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone…I love that one

I’m not against nature either. Nature has a way of balancing itself, our world is over populated, need I say more?

I have always believed it was more nature than nurture. Too many things didn't fit the nurture. Too many people from different backgrounds end up gay.

Angeltress: Many genetic traits are only passed on by the mother and never the father. Just because gay people don't procreate doesn't mean that the genetic information doesn't make it to the next generation. The best example I can think of is Leebers Disease. It is a genetic disorder that causes blindness in males and insanity in females. It is never passed from a male to an offspring and is always passed from the mother. This disorder is more rare than homosexuality, however the gene that causes it continues to be passed to next generations.
As long as somebody is procreating, the genetic information is passed to the next generation. Same for homosexuality. The recessive trait is there... being passed on... but doesn't require gay people to pass it on... even though many gay people have children who grow up to have their own children.

The question I have now is will Christians begin aborting the little abominations in their womb so that they don't have to raise a child hated by god, or will they continue to have them, mess up their minds by trying to change them, then throw them our into a sorry world to fend for themselves like they have been doing for generations...

Yep, I can deny it. I can say anything is genetic that I want to prove but does that make it so? I know many that are or were homosexual and some have changed over. So how do you explain that one if it is genetic and can't be helped? Some say it has been proven that there was no creation but evolution is the correct thing but does that make it so? Not hardly. Some will say one thing and others another but which is correct? Did you know it is a proven fact that smoking is really a healing thing that is good for you? That was the headline in the 1800's and the medical community all touted it as truth. Yet, now we find it is just the opposite, really bad. So much for your scientific proof. Homosexuality is a choice, not anything genetic, no matter how you look at it. Otherwise, how could so many turn from it and go straight with counseling?

Do you believe in God? If you do believe in God and the Bible then you'd know people aren't born gay. The Bible calls it a perversion and says people are going against what's natural. Check out the book of Romans. And maybe there's a reason the studies have been looked over or disclaimed by top medical and health organizations. People can get studies to show whatever they want.

If homosexuality is genetic, then it must follow logically that pedophilia is also genetic. Indeed, it must follow logically that every sexual orientation is genetic.

We all know that certain people have a disposition to having sex with young kids. But even if the pedophilia orientation is something that people are born with, it doesn't automatically make the behavior okay.

"I was born that way" is not necessarily a sufficient reason or excuse for any behavior.

After all, we know that certain people have a genetic disposition toward alcoholism -- but that doesn't mean that this can become an excuse for accepting it and tolerating it if the person constantly gets drunk off his gord every day.

No, I won't deny it. But I won't accept it either. Sounds like people just have found so called facts to back up their finding a scapegoat. If you can't find a flesh and blood person to blame, you blame God. Everyone talks about being gay and proud, why not take the credit for making that decision? I don't have problems with anyone, no matter what their sexual orientation is, but why do you need facts and all to prove that you didn't make the decision to be gay? Does it make you less gay because God did it? No, who cares how you came to be how you are, that's who you are. Be proud about it and stop worrying about making people accept you. If they have to make your being gay an issue, get away from them and find people who can accept you for who you are. Because while I don't agree with homosexuality, I'm not going to treat someone as less than a person who is heterosexual. So hi, whatever your name is. You're gay, that's nice. How you been?

I agree, that some people are born homosexual, while others are not.

God may have created you as a Gay. While your condition does seem to be against nature's model of procreation it does not make you a bad person, nor does it warrant you to have to endure an eternity in hell.

God bless you, and may you continue to live a life that makes you happiest while at the same time not hurting those around you.

Give me a break...God didn't make you Gay. Mercury exposure in the womb, or shortly after birth made you gay. You might have had a genetic predisposition, but DNA is not the cause. Next time you have a study done on your self, have them test the mercury levels in your hair. Also if you have saved any baby teeth, have them check that too. You'll be surprised to find high levels of mercury in your body...not by God, but from Big Pharm.

another good link....
http://www.pureintimacy.org/gr/homosexuality/

i read your links, and i hope you will read mine. Ive seen many good answers posted for you. This is a difficult issue for many people. granted some people dont care at all, but others go as far as to say youre going to rot in hell for loving someone of the same sex, and then of course you have those that compare homosexuality to pedephelia, and thats just like wow, so blatantly rude to me. But heres the deal,
i do believe that some people are more predisposed to homosexuality, as its described in the link i sent. it makes some exceptionally valid points as far as im concerned.
i think you can weigh both sides for years and never truly conclude an "absolute truth" on either side, unless you are a Christian, then of course you will find truth in Christ......and even then, I know many gays that are Christian. I believe if you know that Jesus loves you regardless of your sin, and God sees all sin equally, then it is then up to you and God to find the right path, or the "spiritual" truth.

if you dont care about the spiritual, and are looking for basic scientific proof, my answer then of course remains, you may be more predisposed, and fall further towards one end of a spectrum for whatever reasons, enviroment, increased testosterone, but it will still always remain a choice, like just about everything else in life.
i wish you peace joy and contentment regardless of your orientation.

Be careful who you believe. These researchers may skew their data for social or political reasons or perhaps even because they are gay. Kinsey skewed his data and he turned out to be a mad man. He did horrible things to children in the name of science. My prayers go out to you for hard is your road in your struggle against homosexuality. It is true that God created you in your mother's womb and that He knows everything you will do and say in this lifetime, but it is important the we seek first the righteousness of God and then all these other matters will be settled. To have homosexual impulses is not a sin. To act on these impulses is a sin. God desires for us to be perfect as He is perfect. This is impossible unless we trust in Christ to show us all truth through the indwelling of The Holy Spirit to lead us into all righteousness. God Bless.

Just because you were born with a homosexual gene, does that mean God did it? If we are all born with sin in our lives, then why not say that is a sin you were born with? I was born with alcoholism, does that mean God wants me to be an alcoholic? Are you saying if i am born with the genetic material to molest children, then God wants me to molest children? (by the way, in no way am i comparing child molesting to homosexuality, i know they are not equal in our culture) I am just saying, so society makes it okay now to have this sin, then all the sudden God did? Genes have flaws of sin in them, the makes perfect Biblical sense, doesn't it?

don't blame god for you being stupid, i am not a homophobe cause i get a long great with gay people and have gay friends, but they don't sit there and say it was god that made them that way either. you must have gone t a gay scientist for gay facts, or either somebody just told you something that you wanted to hear. i refuse to believe that there is a gay gene, well i am sure there is a gay guy named gene, but know genetics sorry. please dont be offended by my answer just accept that you are gay and stop trying to blame god and science
