The same thing that happens everyday-everyone would lead a normal day and no one would be any wiser! infact, some queer people might actually believe that they had seen or spoken to him! when you put it like this, it really helps to highlight the nonsense that is religion! say no to jesus!

What would happen is superman took the day off. What would happen if zeus took the day off. What would happen if spiderman took the day off. The world has been running just fine without these characters for billions of years. The world operates according to the laws of physics. If you throw a rock into the air it falls back to earth because of gravity, not because some god threw it back down to you. If people did not make up their gods for a day, the world would continue on according to mathematical principles many of which we know and understand, some of which we do not understand. We don't need to make up gods to explain them.

Seriously, God looking over the affairs of this one tiny speck in the universe we call earth is like you spending your day watching the activity of one atom.

G-d DID take a day off... and given the commands for Shabbat/Sabbath, probably still regularly does (Gen. 2:1-3, and the 2nd of the 10 Commandments).

Hey, check out that dude kicking back by the pool... he never needs his drink refreshed... it's just keeps filling itself up... I'd suggest politely waving to Him....
