You need to work with your doctor for tapering off the medication.

Good luck!

It's never a good idea to stop medication cold..with lots of meds you take over along time there are side effects.medication for depression especially..why are you taking yourself off the meds..are just tired of taking them or are you hoping that you don't need them anymore?..well I would like for you to call your doctor right away and tell them what is going on..they should probably see you and find out what is going on with you and maybe change your dose or even your meds..medication is a hassle to take but it can help so much with many problems..Being depressed is nothing to be ashamed of..there are many people in our country that are depressed either clinically or chemically..there are so many more stressors in our lives and we don't have alot of time for ourselves..be good to yourself and see that doctor soon and get back to a happier you...you are worth it and your family needs you..

I tried to stop effexor to, it didn't work well for me either. I had to go back to the doctor and he tapered me off in a 2 week period. After the 2 weeks, I still had a few withdrawals, but not near as bad. The dizziness and crying if anyone looked at me, bothered me for a while.
I hope you start feeling better soon. Unless a person has been on antidepressants, they don't fully understand what you are going through. It's horrible.... hope u feel better soon. :)

confer at the same time with your medical professional previously preventing your medicine. Many anti-depressants require "weaning" and in case you end taking them abruptly may reason all varieties of complications (drowsing themes, intense mood swings, and infrequently actual consequences, etc.). Your dr. might want to furnish you with some style of time-line in which you could stop the meds. best of success and congrats on your infant!

Go back to your doctor again, again and again till you get something that works. Good Luck to you.
