I have just met a man online, not through a dating website. I wasnt looking for that kind of thing when we met on messenger - somehow. We now talk on the phone and IM on a daily basis for hours on end. We both have webcams so we pretty much see each other everyday. He is in USA and Im in UK and we are making plans to meet soon. We both feel very attracted to each other and have even moved from the word "like" to "love". We talk on the same wavelength and I admire him for the man he is, through his struggles and frustrations and achievements. He is the most sincere man I've known in a while. Can you actually love somebody before you even meet them? But it sure feels RIGHT right now! Have you had such an experience before?

(L)isten: and Validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

O Matrix! I worry about you! You tell us he is the most honest man you have evr met in your life. How do you know for sure? He's told you about the hardship he suffered, it may be true but may equally turn out not to be!
Of course you feel attached to him! But you see, and despite the fact that you communicate via web cam ... He is in the USA, you are in Britain. You really don't know each other as well as you think. All you have are his words, nothing else.
Some people wed they cyber love and turn out to have perfectly happy life together, others find out that the person they meet, isn't the person they fell for, so it's a real lottery!
I hope for you that he is genuine! You know i'm sure there's a group about people who met on the net! I can't recall their name but they post in their group anyway. Why don't you try to check it out? Talk to these people?
May i suggest you get him to come visit rather than fly to the USA yourself? Yes i may be silly, he might well turn out to be the best man ever still ... Remain safe.

Real people are different to online people - maybe not that different - but always there will be a re-adjustment when you do meet - internet and web-cams smooth out some of the rough edges and the idea of someone far away is very unthreatening - however, thats not to say it won't work - just brace yourself for a little bit of reality

course it feels right u know only the good stuff uve never met this man-he could be a lot older or younger than what hes told u he could have a serious criminal record he could be a rapist a murderer u dont know him u know only what hes telling u and u cant trust or believe someone u dont know
