There is an excellent product made by Redken, called Swim Cream, from their UV Rescue line. It protects color treated hair from sun and chlorine. I used it last summer on my hair and the color held up really well!

I believe that the chlorine in the water does affect it and it could change colors...the popular one seems to be green. I haven't ever gone into pools after dying my hair within such a short amount of time so I can't give you a personal story. However my hair person has told me not to go in right away and to wait approximately a couple of weeks...at least.

You will only end up with green hair if your hair is blonde - however, you can get anti-chlorine sprays (any pharmacy like boots or superdrug will do a bunch of different ranges) to put in your hair before you go in the pool that will help to protect your hair and stop it drying out so much as well.

if you have brown hair and you want to dye it again just make sure you choose a color that doesnt have ash in it, cause if you do it will make your hair have a green tint (have done that before) other than that your hair should be fine ! good luck and have fun on vaca.

Yes it will. I would stick to swimming in the sea if I was you as I don't think salt water would have the same effect.

yeah it will go green,If you do go in wash your hair in tomato ketchup, sounds and is yucky but it neutralizes the effect and helps get rid of the green
