Frozen yoghurt
Sorbet
Diet/weight watchers ice cream

Add some chilled fresh fruit salad to the ice cream to make it fill you up and have more of the fruit than the ice cream, sorbet is very like ice cream but much healthier option as is frozen yoghurt

I can see you do crave for ice-cream! Since you said you had a sweet tooth but you would wish you could reduce your intake, a better alternative is to choose maybe yoghurt or some other creams to replace ice-crean. Ice-cream is really high in sugar, and you have to know that if a person's intake of sugar is high, he/she is likely to have a higher risk of getting diabetes.

What you can do is to keep telling yourself to stop having ice-cream for a period of time because when people start to have a full 'stop' on foods, and then they feel tempted to eat them but the other hand is restricting them, they are facing some psychological change. You might also want to reward yourself with an ice-cream, say once a week?

If you still think that you really would in the end succumb to temptation, the only thing that you can do is to make your own ice-cream! Buy cones, stuff it with vanilla ice-cream or any other flavours, add fresh cut fruits. Fruits will help to offset the sugar's content. And, try to cut down on other sugary foods!

The only symptom that will be obvious to you when you consume too much of sugar is when you see yourself growing fatter every day. You won't get diabetes immediately, but you will have a higher risk of getting it...

Lots of nice answers. Try freezing marshmallows - different to eating ice-cream or frozen yogurt, but still a sweet, chilled taste sensation, with no fat and no dairy. Watch out though, still full of sugar. Try experimenting with all sorts of sweets in the freezer.

Sorbets aren't as bad or frozen yoghurts - they still have a sweet side !
Alternatively make your own ice cream and then you can use low fat options.
