Yes, it does, but since I'm the only tidy person in my family, I have make peace with the messes. I have a toddler, a four year old, a dog, a guinea pig, and a husband. My husband does help clean, but he doesn't notice 90% of the mess, so that means he helps clean up 10% of the messes. But I've always been what messy people would call a "clean freak" (I think they only say that about clean people because they want to take the pressure off themselves).
It sometimes really bothers me that I am never able to truly get my house clean - it just never ends! I start cleaning and while I clean my children make another mess - they're faster at making messes than I am cleaning them! So it's rare that I find time to dust and vacuum the carpet ever since I had kids. My house used to be spotless... I suppose that I could just clean all day long, but to keep that up would quickly drain a person and make them exceedingly cranky! Additionally, my primary job is to care for my little ones, and I can't do that if I'm always cleaning. I just have to let some of it go until they get bigger.

My house is never messy. It's not the house that's messy dear it's the housekeeper. Get it? I stay on top of things other people use. I don't have to worry about myself. I put things back where they came from and everything has a place.

I wish those damn house pixies would clean my home in the night. Insted they just eat all the cookies. Little sods. (-_-)
