As a young woman that is recently recovering from Lymphoma, I'm going to give you a real answer and not mock your ignorance on the subject, it's actually a pretty common questions from what I hear.

It depends on the type of treatment she received. I had high dose chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant (something common for hard to treat Leukemias and Lymphomas) I was told not to have sex until I felt strong enough and my hemoglobin reached 50 (normal levels are somewhere between 150-400, I believe) The reason is because some treatments for blood cancers are hard on the body and if counts are low enough, a woman might bleed from intercourse.

I would recommend that you ask her and her doctor when it's ok and be prepared to have lubricants, as some of the chemos mess up our hormones pretty badly. Hope this helps.

I hate to seem mean, but anyone who thinks cancer is contagious probably isn't mature enough to be having sex with anyone, dude. Does this poor lady know you are asking questions like this on Yahoo!

Get a clue!
