Yes, I met my wife been married now for three and half years. But it was not internet dating service is was just a yahoo profile that my brother had began my wife talking to my brother that led to my wife then starting to chat to me on yahoo messenger. She is from the USA and we now both live in England.
When we first chatted on Yahoo messenger she got confused because my brother was on my computer at the time and was talking generally to her then when I came on I logged in to my Yahoo account and I began talking to her. She thought that me and my brother were the same person and thought I was being weird and was going to get out of there. At the time I didn't care but my brother explained it to her eventually and my now wife messaged me back some time later (She for a giggle pretended she was a mysterious woman who knew me). We started to get romantic in April-June 2001 we spend hours on the internet and phone and she flew over the Atlantic to meet me on December 8th 2001. We had talked so much that we didn't feel like we new to each other at all. Married on October 26th 2002. Our 3rd anniversary we spent it having a lovely time on the Isle of Wight in the English Channel. My wife is a dream come true!
Out of all the IP addresses in the all the servers in all the world
my true love connected to mine.

I've actually met my last TWO true loves on the internet (neither of which i was actually looking for even to date). They were both mindblowing experiences and am truely greatful for such an instrument as the internet is to allow me these to happen. One lived in Germany and one happened to be from my home town - if you can believe that. I am still with him today (met 4 yrs ago).
My belief is why limit yourself to just your town or just your state when you have the entire world literally at your finger tips? Just becare when talking to these people cuz there are a lot of psychos. Be prepared to ask the tough questions and be extremely open and honest from the beginning. Some people never find love at all, why not enhance your possibilties?

Hello there... I have to tell you the internet was the best thing that ever happened to me.... I met this girl in January of 2003 in a chat room... We hit it off and began chatting with yahoo messenger... then we both bought webcams.... Neither of us had expected to find someone, and we lived about 700 miles apart. We talked every day for about 7 months, three or four hours a night, sometimes more..... Finally, I drove to meet her after seven months of talking daily.... After meeting her, I went home, packed my things, quit my business ( I had two employees and a very well paying gig) and moved here to be with her.... We have been married for almost three years and it has been the greatest thing to ever happen to either one of us....
If you are looking for love on the internet, be cautious, but just know that love is out there to be found... We found it, and I am quite sure we are not the only ones....
Good luck!!!!

YOU BET ! I met my hubby on yahoo personals. We dated for about two years and were married last year. He's a wonderful person. We share the same values and morals, I feel that's most important in a relationship. I'm NOT the type to do internet dating, but at the time I was caring for my father and never had the chance to get out. I only wanted to meet someone to go out to dinner w/ on occasion...well look at me now! I do feel as though I've met my soul mate. You should be very careful though!! My hubby and I still laugh when we talk about our first date...I met him in a public place and followed him in my car to the restaurant. After dinner, we talked in the parking lot for awhile, I gave him a firm handshake and thanked him for dinner LOL!! I would never have met him otherwise. Please use caution though. Good luck!

I thought I had found love online once, almost left my bf of 3 years for this guy, thought he was absolutely perfect, everything I wanted in a man, but then something just told me that I was making a very wrong move, and when I decided to stay with my bf I saw a side of this guy that I didn't know he had, then he started playing one of my closest online female friends, so to make a long story short, I'm glad I made the choice I did, this might not be exactly the kind of answer you had in mind, but it is the short version of my online dating experiance. But on the flip side, I have a cousin who met a man online that she married, and now almost 6 years later they are still happily married.

I believe Internet dating is very good if the people you are talking to are being truthful. Conventional dating poses the same risks though. My wife and I met on lavalife.com and we have been married for over 3 years now. She is the love of my life and my best friend. I know a few other couples that have gotten married to the love of their lives over the Internet also. It just takes patience to weed out all the incompatible people.

I guess I have to wonder what you think TRUE LOVE is? I mean do yout think it's like your parents, something you seen in a movie? I ask this as I have learned that letting go of what I think love should be has allowed me to experence it. Could the internet be a chance to connect, yes....
