Be careful feeding anything with chocolate to your dogs. Some kinds of chocolate can definitely kill dogs if consumed in sufficient quantities, and the tendency is that if dogs taste a little chocolate they will crave more and make you miserable if you don't give it to them. Details:

White chocolate: 200 ounces per pound of body weight. It takes 250 pounds of white chocolate to cause signs of poisoning in a 20-pound dog, 125 pounds for a 10-pound dog.
Milk chocolate: 1 ounce per pound of body weight. Approximately one pound of milk chocolate is poisonous to a 20-pound dog; one-half pound for a 10-pound dog. The average chocolate bar contains 2 to 3 ounces of milk chocolate. It would take 2-3 candy bars to poison a 10 pound dog. Semi-sweet chocolate has a similar toxic level.
Sweet cocoa: 0.3 ounces per pound of body weight. One-third of a pound of sweet cocoa is toxic to a 20-pound dog; 1/6 pound for a 10-pound dog.
Baking chocolate: 0.1 ounce per pound body weight. Two one-ounce squares of bakers' chocolate is toxic to a 20-pound dog; one ounce for a 10-pound dog.

Sweets in moderations are fine except chocolate. There is something bout chocolate that is not good for animals. Most dogs like Ice cream as long as the animal is not Lactose intolerate.Just like humans dogs will get hyper and sweets should be given in moderation. Also makesure that the sweets won't cause a choking hazard i.e. Hard candy, suckers.

I think chocolate is harmful to dogs, so it's not a good idea to feed them sweets.

If you begin feeding your canine human food, he will grow to expect it everytime you have food. The best course is to not start so he will not beg for food. Dogs in some cases will also stop eating their own food b/c they think they will get human food. It can also make your dog overweight and cause serious health issues. There are plenty of treats you can get for your dog that are very tasty and you can also make your own like I do. My dog loves peanut butter dog bisquits.

No you can't!!! Sweets can make a dog blind. That's guaranteed is fed frequently. My friends took a dog from the street - it was half blind because children gave it sweets. It needed 2 yrs for recovery.

They have a special ice cream for dogs. In my grocery store they have them in the novelty ice cream section, right next to the people ice cream. I only give my dog an ice cream treat once in a while, as a very special treat, because I am sure it is not good for him to get too much of it even though it is made just for dogs.

Not unless you enjoy cleaning up the huge mess he will leave behind.

Plus, dogs are not meant to eat people food, it shortens their lifespan. Do your dog a favor and stick with the dog food.
