You don't say if you have a male or female. Its unrealistic and unfair on your dog to let your it breed once and then never expect them to be interested again. Once they have bred it awakens an instinct that up to that point lay dormant, their attitude will change.
Your dog will need to be wormed by the vet, vaccinated, scored for hip dysplacia and ocd if they is an issue with the breed and if the tests show your dog is a carrier you must not ever breed from it.
You need to assess your dogs temperament and conformation, and pick the right dog to mate with them.
Females may have their first season as early as 6 months or a year but you should't consider breeding from a female until she is at least 18 months old.
You need to learn how to feed, excersise and care for a pregnant female, how to provide the right nest box and den. How to assist during the birth and when to call the vet.
Your females temperament may change about 3 days after giving birth and she may attack even family members that go near her pups. If you have children you need to take responsibility for that.
You need to find out how to care for a litter of pups until they are 8 weeks and ready to go to their new home.
Females may have phantom pregananies even after they are spayed, and males will be off in a world of their own every time they smell a female in season.
Experienced breeders have ways of using males at stud so they don't turn into sex maniacs.
You need to get some books on breeding from the library because theres a lot more to it than we can put here.

If you are talking about a female, you wait until they have had at least two heats. This way they are developed on the inside. Which can be any where from 11/2 years up to two years. For a male you should wait until they are a year old. AKC , if registered, won't reconize any pups they have if they themselves are to young. ACA won't either. I have doxie's, and breed my female when she was almost two, and the second time, with the male I have, he was about 11/2. But this is my opinion, and going by what I have learned with my dogs. You should really ask your vet for his opinion, and ages. Because all dogs are different, and they have different problems. Good luck with yours, and have a nice night.

It depends on whether or not you have papers and proper lineage for the staffy. If you do, it's really best to wait until 1 1/2 to 2 years. If you don't, then you need to get your dog fixed.

I don' t think there is a set age for studs. Mine was 5 1/2 months when he bread our female. If you are asking about the bitc*, I would let her go 2 heats before I bread her.

.This breed is already over bred thats why so many are in rescue. DONT BREED YOUR DOG!
according to the kennel club over 10,000 staff's were bred last year and OVER 2,000 ended up in rescue. Do you want this to happen to your pups?

If your dog is a male they can breed as soon as they **** their leg to wee. If your dog is female then you have to wait till the second season.

If you don't know even this basic question, don't even think about breeding. There are enough unwanted dogs in the world.
