I, too, took 100mg zoloft and it did absolutely nothing for me. I mean nothing. Stresstabs work better for me than that expensive stuff that the doctor ordered. Stresstabs with Zinc.

Being diagnosed and prescribed a medicine does not mean that you are cured. Sometimes the symptoms you have described to your doctor; the way you feel, now, are different from the way you were feeling 6 months ago or 1 month ago or last week. Make sure if these feelings were different your Dr. knows. Knowing these differences might make him diagnose you differently and put you on different meds which might work better for YOU. After everything(medications) are tweaked and you find yourself leveled out and you think you are doing great. Realize the reason you are doing so well is because the meds are working, not that you are better without the meds.
Many meds, such as anti-depressants, need to build up in your system before they start to have an effect. Sometimes as long as 4-6 weeks of regular doses before the effects are realized. Like someone already stated, don't change a thing unless your Dr. knows about it.
Take care of yourself. Get into a regular routine. Consider seeing a second doctor. Seeing a psychologist or counselor is like having a friend with special listening skills, sometimes this person will notice differences in your diagnosis and will better inform the other doctor about the long term effects of the meds.

Holy ****....First...Have you explained to your doctor that life altering problems now seem nonexistant while the petty things still mess you up? If so and all he's done is RAISE the medicine's dose then STOP going to that doctor....It's obvious Zoloft doesn't work for you however DO NOT STOP TAKING THE ZOLOFT ALTOGETHER...That's dangerous and can sling you into a manic phase...It's best if you supplement your medication with therapy from a psychologist...A psychologist can't write prescriptions and therefore has to use other methods to get to the root of your neurosis....I find it's often helpful to have a psychologist who works WITH your psychiatrist so that your treatment can be coordinated. Hope that helps

Jog, no kidding. Start a minute a day and work up to at least 30 minutes.
I assure you within a week you will feel, see, and look nicer.

Hi Shoegal...
I didn't find much help with any antidepressant. Read my "Antidepressant That Works" story to find out how I battled and won the fight with depression at: http://www.geocities.com/seabulls69/AntidepressantThatWorks.html
