For the record, the question is both joke and distant curiosity, about equally yoked.....

"Who Me", go ahead and tell them. If this question gets removed, even if my account gets deleted, it's not the end of the world. My life doesn't revolve around Yahoo! Answers, so do your best little man.

I personally thought it was kind of funny. I did not see how it slammed deaf-mute people in any way. Some people have no sense of humor, huh? Well, the answer to your question is, yes, because they do speak, just in a way that most of us can't understand. They'd probably have to get an interpreter, though. Someone who signs. Who me, you need a life. bragging about being on level 5 only means that you spend WAY too much time on the computer. Get out there and socialize!

First of course you don't have to have your rights read unless you are questioned.
And yes if a deaf mute is arrested or just questioned as a suspect he has to be told his rights, since he can write or sign which is communication.
Also the police department has to provide a translator for them
Really a good question even if meant for a joke

I think this is about the funniest question I have ever seen but also and interesting one. I will have to ask my granddaughter fiancee who is a policeman and see what he has to say. But I do think they would still have to say it in sign or write it. Remain silent...a deaf mute. This is a great question. I'll get back to you on that
