Prawns gets cooked easily but at the same time should be cook properly too. In curry prawns are cooked well then in a sandwich. Beside this you have to make sure that the vanning is done properly before cooking otherwise it can cause a big problem to your stomach.

I have this as well, whenever I try and eat prawns or crayfish in bread I get an overwhelming nausea feeling, like I will pass out any minute and be really sick. I can eat any other sort of sandwich and I can eat prawns any other way, just not with bread.

The prawns are more than likely not as well cooked in the sandwich than curry/chinese. I don't eat seafood because my brain tells me it's bad, but I don't know why.

The black thread has to be taken out of prawns before you eat them. It is the waste product inside the prawn. If you take that out and cook the prawns you should have no problem whatsoever. If you leave that in the prawn you can get severe diahorrea

Are you prepairing the prawns you're self for the sandwhich and buying the curry's. You need to defrost them proparly, best to leave them out over night or you can run cold water over them but that takes some flavour away.

The prawns have been recooked at a high temp.
Though you may just be wheat intolerant - check the intolerance web sites and see if any of your symptoms match
(mine did, im wheat intolerant - my stomach cramps stopped as did my hay fever and I lost a stone and a half)
you never know

prawns carry natural bacteria, even frozen prawns have been cooked but if you cook them again as in a curry you will kill all bacteria, this is only usualy noticable in people who have a low tolerence to excess bacteria in their food.
