It's not unusual at all for an infant or anyone else to go a day or two without a bowel movement. After 3 days I would be concerned. I had an infant that did this same thing and he was just fine.

It is normal.....contact the doctor or who you take the baby to after 4 days of no movement though....but watch out when your child does go....whew.....mess...
Infants are receiving mainly fluids for nourishment. No solids. The waste they let out mainly is urine.Until they are eating more solid food it takes some time to build up.

You didnt say whether your baby is breast or bottle fed, its completely normal for a breast fed baby to go for anything between a few times to day to once a week.
but everyone else is right, if you are not sure, go and see a childhood nurse or doctor, or even just call the childrens hospital and ask for advice to ease your mind.

i think it is called kapo it is corn syrup put a teaspoon in the baby's bottle, if that doesn't work they sell over the counter stool supositories (not sure how to spell it) but also look at the formula is the baby getting to much iron??If so it will bind them up.

is he breast fed or formula fed. If he is breast fed that's fine. If he is on formula see your maternal health nurse. You could try holding on to his ankles and gently moving his legs in an up and down motion like you are milking! Its a funny thing but try it.

Anytime you have concerns about your child you should call the doctor. He/or she is the one that knows your child best. They are used to people calling, so don't get self conscious.
