This is how I was saved:
Virgin Birth - Was it a preconceived notion?
What is the Imacculate Conception?
An Imacculate Deception?
Did Jesus give up Saturday for us?
Jesus? Christianity? .
If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.
Gods do not die? Do they?
If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?
If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.
If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!
If you swallow this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to swallow it too.
They want everyone to convert to their non-thinking.

I believe in God's words. Even if I didn't, though, I think I would be able to see a lot of wisdom in Scripture, especially in the book of Proverbs.
You might want to consider not being prejudiced against God's words because you might be missing some wisdom--even if you choose not to believe in God or Christianity.

How do we know what are God's words? We only know what has been written by mankind and with the capacity mankind has for twisting the truth to suit, I wouldn't be sure we categorically know what God's 'word' is. What you feel inside each day, if you are doing something good/bad/indifferent is probably the closest you'll get to knowing 'God's word'.

There's no such thing as "God's words". I do agree though that what people claim to be God's words are lame.

Who says they are God's words............or I should say.........do YOU believe they are God's words.??? According to "religious " people...........God " told " people to write down "his " words............. but logically, they could have written down anything they freaking felt like it. To control people. And yeah...... I think it's lame.......... because NONE of it is relevant to THESE years.......if they were God's words........ wouldn't the " all knowing" tell us of the year 2006.........tell us of Sadam........ Bush......... ect. Yeah..........it's all confusing.......... I wish there was a God............becuz my sister died......... and I sure could use some help from God......... but...... we won't know till we die, I guess.

Which ones? The Bible, the Qu'ran... which texts?
Some of them are downright evil, yes. Parts of those texts are beautiful works of prose, though. Just because some is bad doesn't mean all is bad.
